Terms and Conditions for Tug

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Tug, operated by Carolyn Louise Schenk (“Tug,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using Tug’s website (www.togetherwithtug.com) or subscribing to Tug’s SMS service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Eligibility
Tug is intended for use by adults (18 years or older) who are parents or legal guardians.
By subscribing to Tug, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.
2. Description of Service
Tug is a subscription-based parenting tool that delivers SMS messages, including daily questions, check-ins, and play prompts designed to encourage parent-child interaction.
Message frequency may vary based on user interaction but typically ranges from 1–3 messages per day.
Tug may modify, update, or discontinue features at any time.
3. Account Registration
To use Tug, you must provide accurate information, including:
Phone number
Email address
Child age or age range
You agree to keep this information current and accurate.
You are responsible for maintaining control of your phone number and device.
4. SMS Communications
By subscribing, you consent to receive SMS messages from Tug.
Message frequency: Varies, typically 1–3 messages per day
Message and data rates may apply
Reply STOP to unsubscribe
Reply HELP for assistance or contact support@togetherwithtug.com
Consent to receive SMS messages is a condition of subscription.
Tug is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages due to carrier issues.
5. Subscription Terms (When Paid Plans Launch)
Tug may offer:
Monthly subscription plans
Annual subscription plans
Free trial periods
If you enroll in a paid plan:
You authorize recurring billing to your selected payment method.
Billing occurs automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled.
Free trials convert to paid subscriptions unless canceled before the trial ends.
You may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future billing but does not refund prior payments unless required by law.
Detailed refund policies will be provided at time of payment launch.
6. Free Trial
Tug may offer a free trial period.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue trial offers at any time.
At the end of a free trial, your subscription may automatically convert to a paid plan unless canceled before the trial period ends.
7. Intellectual Property
All Tug content, including but not limited to:
Play prompts
Questions
Messaging formats
Branding
Website content
is the intellectual property of Tug and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
You may use Tug content for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
You may not:
Reproduce
Distribute
Resell
Publish
Create derivative commercial works
without written permission.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use Tug for unlawful purposes
Attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt the service
Abuse, harass, or threaten Tug staff
Use automated systems to scrape or copy content
Tug reserves the right to suspend accounts for violations.
9. No Professional Advice
Tug provides general parenting prompts and is not a substitute for professional advice, therapy, medical guidance, or educational instruction.
You are responsible for supervising your child at all times during activities.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Tug shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the service.
Tug’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the preceding 12 months (or $0 if using the free version).
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
Tug is provided “as is” and “as available.”
We do not guarantee:
Uninterrupted service
Error-free delivery
Specific parenting outcomes
12. Termination
You may terminate your subscription at any time by:
Replying STOP (for SMS)
Canceling through your account (when applicable)
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Updated Terms will be posted with a revised effective date.
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
